A comprehensive all-in-one course addressing technical, commercial & operational aspects in establishing an FLNG facility, with a focus on real world solutions and actual projects
Floating LNG (FLNG) takes liquefaction technologies into a floating production system which can be located close to offshore gas fields. It is not a new idea and has been under consideration for more than 20 years, but new technology, increasing global demand for energy and sharpened investment appetite have spurred numerous FLNG projects. There are a number of technological, commercial and regulatory challenges which have been the subject of study, design development and testing.
Currently there is a major resurgence in FLNG – the first FLNG vessels are under construction and scheduled to be deployed over the next few years. This course is therefore a timely event for all those interested in this emerging technology and its associated challenges.
■ Latest development of the LNG industry and the role of FLNG in the overall LNG supply chain
■ FLNG technologies and processes
■ Design standards, construction challenges, technical innovations and risk management
■ Integrating production, liquefaction, storage, and shipping
■ Commercial impacts on world energy markets and LNG trading patterns
■ Operational issues, managing regulatory and environmental compliance, security concerns
■ Real world projects and their challenges & solutions
■ Future projections, market trends, and regional analysis
Benefits of Attending
IDENTIFY the advantages and challenges of an FLNG facility compared with onshore LNG
UNDERSTAND the physical properties of LNG and typical specifications for production and trading
EXAMINE the technical components required to establish a FLNG operational system including gas treating, liquefaction, storage, transfer, offloading
DETERMINE equipment considerations for FLNG - subsea, pipeline, topsides, storage, vessel design
DISCOVER design challenges involved in producing LNG offshore
APPRECIATE safety, risk assessment and integration aspects of LNG production on a floating facility
UNDERSTAND other operations involved in the LNG supply chain including shipping, storage, receiving terminals and regasification
The course will underpin the theory which applies
to FLNG by using practical examples based on
real world experience and interactive discussion
throughout the course. These exercises will provide
an excellent opportunity for participants to apply
the theoretical principles which will assist in the
understanding of FLNG projects. The course
material is reviewed by interactive exercises which
will encourage discussions among participants
and the Course Director. Each day will end with a
We would like to customise the workshop based on your specific needs. Pre-Course Questionnaire will be sent prior to the workshop for analyse in advance and to be addressed during the course.
Upon the successful completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion bearing the signatures from both the Course Director and the Course Organiser. This Certificate will testify your endeavour and serve towards your professional advancement.
